My Mourinho Project so far…
It’s been too much of a fever dream so far but that’s when you know it’s been fun. I have signed the players inspired by the real life signings that Mourinho has signed with a touch of my own ideas. Felix Nmecha to me has been a fun signing as a defensive deep-lying playmaker and occasionally a box-to-box. Pairing hime with Jude Bellingham and Valverde has been a cheat code.
I generally like to keep the tactics as standard as possible so I can switch to aggressive counters when needed or hold controlled possession to manage the game. I kept Espi, Diomande and Silva for some squad depth as well as adding Alex Jimenez from Bournemouth since Alexander-Arnold was injured at the time.
Then I decide to swap the current back-up Ukrainian Goalkeeper Lunin for Benfica’s main goalkeeper, Anatolily Trubin, given that Mourinho build a pretty good relationship with him when managing Benfica.
